What we do

Our document will be completely bespoke to client requirements and will be unique to the individual organisation for which it is prepared. Our consultants write the document in conjunction and close consultation with the client. The Health and Safety Policy Manual and Safety Management System will be fully compliant with OHSAS 18001. The whole document will contain three distinct parts:-

» PART 1 - The organisation's statement of intent, its commitment to achieve aims and objectives.

» PART 2 - The organisational structure, levels of responsibilities and means of communication

» PART 3 - The general arrangements on how your organisation will manage the risks.

Alchemy Consultants aims to work with organisations to promote a culture of care by planning and establish an Occupational Health and Safety Management System which is in line with current best practice standards or provide you with a bespoke system which meets your risk profile. 

We will engage at all levels within an organisation and improve the health and safety culture to a culture of care and develop systems which ensure the employers duty of care is met, protecting the organisation from loss and improve its safety image.

Our consultants will offer a flexible approach to ensure that we can meet your expectations and we can develop the systems using our experienced consultants or we can train your staff to develop the system.



Our Perspective

Occupational safety and health is an area concerned with protecting the safety, health and welfare of people engaged in work or employment. The goals of occupational safety and health programs include fostering a safe and healthy work environment.

Occupational safety and health can be important for moral, legal, and financial reasons. All organisations have a duty of care to ensure that employees and any other person who may be affected by the companies undertaking remain safe at all times. Moral obligations would involve the protection of employee's lives and health. Legal reasons for OSH practices relate to the preventative, punitive and compensatory effects of laws that protect worker's safety and health. OSH can also reduce employee injury and illness related costs, including medical care, sick leave and disability benefit costs.

Managing Health and Safety isn’t just like managing any other business activity, the consequences of getting your Health and Safety management wrong could result in disaster for you and your company. 

You wouldn’t operate a car without seat belt and airbags pre-installed; so don’t operate your business without Health and Safety Management System.
